FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (Grey Information) – A novel contraption that washed up on a Florida seaside revealed a weird story of an arrest, officers stated.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Workplace posted photos on X of a floating, human-sized hamster wheel that washed ashore.
Flagler County is simply north of Daytona Seaside on the east coast of Florida.
Deputies responded to the decision concerning the unusual, deserted object. Nonetheless, native studies reveal extra to the story.
In line with a report from WOFL, officers had beforehand been in a standoff with a person contained in the hamster wheel for a number of days within the ocean, however he refused to return to shore.
The person contained in the hamster wheel was recognized as Ray “Reza” Baluchi.

Officers first noticed him roughly 70 nautical miles east of Tybee Island, Georgia.
USA Today studies that Baluchi informed the U.S. Coast Guard that he was trying to sail throughout the Atlantic Ocean to London within the contraption.
WOFL studies that Baluchi was first noticed by the Coast Guard on Aug. 26 however couldn’t get him to cooperate to return out of the hamster wheel as a result of he was armed with weapons and threatened to hurt himself.
It wasn’t till Aug. 29 that officers had been in a position to get Baluchi out of the vessel safely and convey him to shore, WOFL studies.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Workplace stated he was secure and unhurt.
Baluchi was charged with obstruction of boarding and violation of a captain of the port order, in line with a legal criticism obtained by WOFL.
