Emily Sarah Merkley Robinson of Bountiful, Utah was born March 16, 1979 to David Merkley and Marian Stephenson Merkley of Layton. Her life got here full circle when she handed away of their dwelling, surrounded by loving household, on September 6, 2023, after a protracted wrestle with colon most cancers. She was 44 years outdated.
Emily graduated from Layton Excessive College in 1997 and acquired an affiliate’s diploma from Salt Lake Neighborhood School in 2001. She spent her profession serving others, with compassion and selflessness, as a Licensed Occupational Remedy Assistant.
Emily was fearless and lived her life to the fullest. She handled each buddy and member of the family with loyalty and devotion. She celebrated each vacation and remembered each birthday. In her brief time on earth, Emily visited 47 states and 29 nations. She scuba-dived the Nice Barrier Reef, swam with whale sharks within the Philippines, and cared for elephants in Thailand, amongst many different adventures. She was additionally a loving pet mum or dad to 24 guinea pigs over time. Emily was a voracious reader, watcher, and listener, with equal enthusiasm for Jane Austen, the X-Males, and the Beatles.
On July 27, 2021, Emily married Dan Robinson of Bountiful within the Bountiful LDS Temple. Although they’d solely two years collectively, they packed their temporary time with love, concert events, and FanX.
Emily is survived by her husband, Dan Robinson; mother and father, David and Marian Merkley; siblings Ellie Warnick (Bryan), Sam Merkley (Emily Neil), Anna Bardsley (Spencer), and Seth Merkley; six nieces, seven nephews, and two honorary nephews; beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of loving, lifelong pals. She was preceded in dying by her grandparents, Doug and Elna Stephenson and Phil and Elva Merkley, her uncle Dan Merkley, and her cousin Josh Merkley.
Funeral Companies might be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 Fairfield Rd in Layton, Utah. Associates could go to with household on Monday from 6:00 to eight:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on the mortuary.
She might be interred on the Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
