TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man was arrested after trying to journey throughout the Atlantic Ocean to the UK in a huge hamster wheel in late August.
In keeping with Storyful, Ray “Reza” Baluchi was stopped by the U.S. Coast Guard and allegedly negotiated for 3 days with officers.
Baluchi was discovered within the hamster wheel almost 70 nautical miles east of Tybee Island, Georgia.
A courtroom submitting stated Baluchi was armed with two knives and threatened to make use of a bomb to blow himself up. Later, Baluchi stated there was no bomb.
In keeping with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Baluchi had an analogous incident in 2021, when he left the St. Augustine space within the hamster wheel, heading to New York. Because of problems, he was introduced again to shore and had no accidents.
