Florida man in hamster ball arrested off Tybee Island for Atlantic journey

A Florida man was arrested 70 nautical miles east of Tybee Island late final week for reportedly making an attempt to run throughout the Atlantic Ocean to London in a makeshift human-sized hamster wheel.

Reza “Ray” Baluchi’s do-it-yourself “Hydro Pod vessel”, as he calls it, was afloat by wiring and buoys. It was first noticed off the coast of Tybee on Aug. 26, throughout preparations for Hurricane Franklin, based on reporting by USA At the moment.

It took the U.S. Coast Guard 5 days to deliver Bulchi ashore.
